Big Ambitions Tools
Hours, hardware, and the boring numbers that save a save file.
Not every Big Ambitions question is a story. Some are tables. This hub is for the pages you keep in a second monitor: opening hours by format, and system requirements for Windows and macOS. They exist so the guides can stay strategic.
Community sites have published customer-per-hour formulas and building browsers. Those tools go stale the moment Hovgaard ships a patch. We would rather give you a method plus conservative ranges than a fake calculator that pretends 0.5 data is 1.0 law.
What belongs in Tools
Opening hours — food is not retail, gyms are not nightclubs, HQ is not a liquor store. If you only remember one sentence: default 8–4 is a suggestion, not a profit maximizer. Jump to the opening hours page for the format list.
System requirements — GTX 960 minimum is a 2016 card living in a 2026 city. If the sim hitchs while you drive, the economy will feel harder than it is. Dedicated GPU on Mac is required, not optional.
Building codes — A1/C2/P1 and friends are documented inside the warehouses and getting started pages because they are part of those stories. We will not duplicate a 200-row building browser that another fan site already struggles to keep current.
How to use these pages with the rest of the wiki
- Pick a format on the tier list.
- Set hours from opening hours.
- Staff from employees.
- If the city stutters, fix hardware via system requirements before you blame demand.
If a number here disagrees with your 1.0 client, trust the client and the updates hub. Tools are helpers. They are not a second Steam.
What we will not add
No account-linked “code redeem” widget — this is not that genre. No multiplayer party finder. No unofficial trainer ads. If you want official discussion, use links. If you want to make money, the make money guide is still the essay; this hub is the sidebar.
Keep this tab open while you write Monday schedules. Close it when you actually need to walk a van across Garment District. The game still rewards being in the city, not only in the menus.
A last reminder on scope: tools will not pick a neighborhood for you, will not staff a shop, and will not tell you whether The Hamptons mansion is a good idea. Those answers live in the neighborhood ranking, the employees guide, and the 1.0 notes. Use this hub as the calculator drawer next to those essays. If a patch rewires hour weights, re-test in Econoview the same week instead of waiting for a wiki cell to move. That habit — test, then trust — is the only tool that never goes stale.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
Is there a Big Ambitions profit calculator on this wiki?
No live spreadsheet. Use opening hours plus Market Insider in-game. Patch-sensitive calculators rot too fast.
Where are system requirements?
On the system requirements page, copied from the current Steam listing.
Do these tools work for Early Access saves?
Hours logic is older than 1.0; neighborhood counts are not. Play on the full release when you can.
